Black Collared Kits Allowed From July 1st

The latest referee kit offerings from Umbro which are now sporting black collars have been sanctioned for use on all levels of football from July 1st 2010. Several other manufacturers including Adidas are included in this ruling. Black top socks are also allowed for use next season.

For years, The FA and as a result Cheshire FA, have outlawed use of such kits at all levels outside the top-flight, instead requiring referees to wear white collars and white top socks.

Referees are reminded that they must wear a Cheshire FA badge whenever refereeing within the County and on any FA Competition.

Referees are also reminded that coloured kits other than Black are still outlawed.
