Rob Jones - Promoted to Football League Line
At just 21, Rob has quickly progressed through the leagues. Rob started refereeing on the Eastham Junior Leagues and Wirral Sunday League before being promoted to Level 4 during 2006/7 season and started refereeing on the West Cheshire League. Later in that season he was promoted to Level 3 and was appointed to the Pyke Cup Final.
Rob becomes one of the youngest officials to reach this level and we wish him well for the forthcoming season.
Level 4 Promotions Announced
Danny, Pete and Lea narrowly missed out last year but have stuck at it and have been rewarded following successful seasons operating on West Cheshire Division 2 and 3 games.
Next season they will become Supply League Referees and referee on the West Cheshire Division 1 and join the Contrib Assistant Referees list, lining on North West Counties 1, Unibond and Blue Square North games.

Neil Davies Promoted To Level 3
Level 3 referees who are deemed suitable also can be promoted to the National List of Assistant Referees. This means lining on the Football League and those who excel on this list are invited to the Select Group of Assistants and they operate on the Premier League and High Profile Football League games.
This means that Wirral now has 9 Level 3 referees, Neil Davies, Rob Jones, Brian Robinson, Steve Copeland, Doug Stewart, Dave Croft, John Dowd, Andy Hutchinson and John Stokes.
Andy Hutchinson is on the National List of Assistants and John Stokes is on the Select Group of Assistants.
This is a great statistic for a small district.
