Rob Johnson has been appointed as the new referee development officer within Wirral FA.

Rob will now be responsible in helping our newer referees develop their skills and enhance these skills to assist in their promotion through the levels.

The scheme is now open and if you feel that you would like to be part of it and develop yourself as a referee then please contact John Davies to register your interest jhdaviesref@btinternet.com

Wirral FA are now looking for experienced officials to contact them if they feel they could offer some of their time to assist with the development program by mentoring referees then again please contact John Davies using the email address above.

Liverpool County Referees' Society have kindly extended an invitation for all members to attend their forthcoming event on the 24th November 2011, where they will host Select Group Referee Phil Dowd.

If you remember we were recently invited to attend a similar event where Peter Walton was their guest speaker and a very enjoyable evening was had by all. This is a great opportunity to learn by listening to a referee at the top of his game.

Members are asked to complete the online form here and we will then be able to arrange sharing of transport and providing transport to those who do not have their own. Otherwise you are very welcome to make your own way to the venue.
