New Recruits In Cheshire FA Refereeing Department

With the resignation of Mr Jeff Walton from the role of Honorary Referee Appointments Officer, Cheshire County are pleased to announce that the vacancy will be filled by Mr Peter Maddocks of Crewe.
Peter has for many years been the District Referee Secretary for Crewe DFA and brings many years of refereeing experience to the role. Peter stated that he was looking forward to the ‘New’ role and working with all at CCFA.

Mr David Welch also decided at the end of last season to call it a day as the Assessor Co-ordinator for the Supply Leagues within Cheshire. David gave many, many years of dedication and hard work to the role and Cheshire FA would like to go on file and offer our heart felt thanks to David for the professional way in which he carried out his duties. David will continue to co-ordinate the assessment scheme for referees who are applying for promotion with Cheshire County FA.

The ‘New’ recruit to take over from David as Supply League Assessor Co-ordinator is Mr Jack Blakemore of Wirral. Jack brings many years of experience into what Jack says will be an ‘enjoyable challenge’.

All at Cheshire County FA would like to thank both Peter and Jack for ‘Stepping into the breach’ and wish them both every success in their ‘New’ roles.
